Cassie Cope is a 19 year old actress, singer and dancer who has worked extensively in the Washington, D.C., market in both professional and community theater productions. A native of Brooklyn, New York, Cassie now lives with her family in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
In May of this year, Cassie graduated high school. During the 2018/19 academic year, she performed in several shows in the D.C. area. This fall, Cassie began her first year at Ohio University in the inaugural B.F.A. musical theater program.
Hard-working and passionate about her craft, Cassie intends to pursue theater in college and as her career. She strives to balance training, schooling, and performance opportunities. She is also an avid theater-goer in New York, Washington, and occasionally London.

In October, Cassie originated the role of Courtney in Patrick Flynn's new show Sheila and Moby at Flying V! The show ran from October 25th to November 18th in Bethesda, MD.
Cassie understudied 3 unique shows at Adventure Theatre MTC this year. In early 2018, Cassie understudied the 2 female ensemble tracks in Alexander and The Terrible. Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. In late Spring, Cassie understudied the titular role in Judy Moody & Stink: The Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Treasure Hunt. Most recently she understudies the roles of Little Sal and Little Bear in the new musical, Blueberries for Sal. During the holiday season,. Cassie could be heard on iHeart Radio stations as the voice of Fancy Nancy for a radio commercial! Listen below!
This summer, Cassie had the most incredible 2 weeks at Signature Theatre's Overtures Institute! Teaching artists included: Matthew Gardiner, Tracy Lynn Olivera, Gregory Wooddell, Michael Arden and Judy Kuhn, to name a few. She also performed at Signature Theatre's Annual Open House in a flash mob, and a condensed version of the Overtures Showcase.
